Current research projects in the Lee Laboratory are supported by the Division of Molecular and Cellular Biology and the Division of Integrative Organismal Systems of the National Science Foundation.

Award #1820103 (Lee, PI)

Toward the molecular unpacking of the PaaC domain, a novel Plasmodesmata-association & activation Cassette

The public abstract of this NSF-funded research project can be found here.

The goals of this exciting project are to dissect the functional domain of the PD regulator PDLP5 and its paralogs to identify key molecular features required for PD targeting, PD regulation, and signal transduction. We will achieve these goals using state-of-the-art imaging techniques in combination with computational modeling and predictions.

Award #1457121 (Lee, co-PI)
